Chief Minister of Karnataka Flags off Buses by Ashok Leyland in Bengaluru: 565 Buses from Ashok Leyland Will Be Delivered to Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC)
Ashok Leyland, the flagship company of the Hinduja Group and India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, has delivered its latest state of the art BS VI diesel 75 buses to the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). The flag off was done by the Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Basavaraj Bommai, at Vidhan Soudha. The company has bagged the order for 565 buses from the BMTC and 75 buses are part of the same.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Saraswat, Head – M&HCV, Ashok Leyland, said:

These buses are equipped with the latest BS VI emission standards and fitted with advanced features such as rear air suspension, Dual Engine power mode (Power and Eco.), Air assisted hydraulic clutch, Integrated pedal unit, Cable shift gear change and Tilt Steering. Furthermore, These buses are in compliance with the AIS 052 (Bus Code), AIS 140 (VLT) and AIS 153 with Fire Detection and Alarm System (FDAS) standards, making them to be truly considered as state-of-the-art buses for public transportation in India.

By adding these 565 buses of Ashok Leyland in our existing fleet, we hope to significantly improve the commuting experience for all the citizens.”
After the 75 buses, Ashok Leyland intends to fulfill the order delivery in the next two months.
