At Euro Bus Expo 2024, Alexander Dennis is showcasing its Enviro400EV double-decker electric bus, which Transdev Blazeilfield will operate in Leeds.

The model will be deployed on route 36 between Leeds, Harrogate and Ripon, with buses departing up to every 10 minutes to complete the 27-mile journey.

The vehicle on display is fitted with roof-mounted charging rails to allow its 472kWh batteries to be topped up using pantographs during layovers at Harrogate bus station.

Inside, its seats are arranged in a 2+1 pattern, with reclining single seats angled inwards alongside expanded window ledges and armrests.

Passengers will also benefit from USB and wireless mobile charging and the latest audio-visual passenger information systems. This includes displays facing the two wheelchair bays.

The Enviro400EV double-decker is 11.1 metres long and is tailored for busy urban and interurban routes. It has a battery capacity of up to 472kWh and a range of up to 260 miles.
