ALLNET and WAVECOM Agree on Sales Partnership

The Germering-based ICT distributor ALLNET and the Portuguese manufacturer WAVECOM TECHNOLOGIES have agreed an exclusive sales partnership for Germany.

With immediate effect, ALLNET specialist trade partners have access to the manufacturer’s 5G connected bus, 5G connected train and IoT solutions.

Wavecom scores with sound know-how and experience in wireless and IP-based systems and applications for onboard connectivity solutions in various means of transportation. In this area, Wavecom is presenting special gateways for Bus and Coach companies together with a cloud application to manage connectivity, localization, sensorization and services to their fleets.  This offers passengers high-quality WiFi 6 and managed and reliable connectivity for onboard cloud connected systems, such as ticketing, digital signage, CCTV and CAD-AVL.

Bus and coaches operators have access to a multi-tenant cloud platform enabling easy and powerful management of their fleets, defining structured domains with corresponding management and monitoring teams. WiFi services are thus centrally managed (per fleet/domain) namely login portal design and WiFi quality delivery per user, such that the fleet operators are in power and get insight on the users experience to guarantee best WiFi on the road. Moreover they can communicate via easy configurable login portals, landing pages and make inquiries on passengers!

Wavecom additionally provides awareness of the number of passengers carried between stops, so that fleet operators know about tickets vs passenger load and plan best vehicles for each route. Wavecom designs, develops and manufactures its road-ready onboard routers and gateways (OBUs) in Portugal. All hardware logistics, support and repairs are also handled in Portugal, which ensures a high quality level and fast processing.
