Alstom has expressed its confidence in CBM by signing an exclusive partnership agreement in December 2019 for the supply of spare parts for APTIS, its first all-electric bus.
On 23 January last, CBM received a visit from Jean-Baptiste Eymeoud, Chairman of ALSTOM France, and his team. The two companies took advantage of the opportunity to celebrate their recent exclusive partnership agreement. Going forward, CBM will be handling the management and distribution of spare parts forAPTIS, the very first in a series of all-electric buses from the French tram and train construction giant.
APTIS, the new electric bus from Alstom
With APTIS, ALSTOM is the next to tackle the “clean” bus market. This all-electric bus offers elegant design and optimised technical performance. APTIS has in fact been selected by Compagnie des Transports Strasbourgeois (CTS), RATP and Ile-de-France Mobilités following the biggest ever European call for tenders – as well as by Grenoble city and district authority. Other urban authorities are showing interest in this vehicle. France, Spain, Belgium, Germany… 90 orders are now firm and 250 currently being negotiated.
15,000 new references
Seeking to put in place an aftersales service for the new vehicle, ALSTOM has chosen to rely on the expertise and international reach of CBM. In order to meet future maintenance needs, 15,000 additional references will be added to our expanding range of spare parts. This is a new challenge worthy of CBM’s expertise and efficient logistics and its eight facilities located across Europe, North America and Australia.
