Kinetic has announced it will bring its airport transfer brand, SkyBus, to Launceston in order to provide transport for fans arriving in the city for the sold-out Foo Fighters concert at UTAS Stadium on Saturday 24 January 2026.

The event is expected to draw visitors from across Australia, with the SkyBus stepping in to operate a dedicated service between Thursday 22 and Monday 26 January.

City-bound services will run from 22–24 January, with all SkyBus services scheduled to meet arriving flights at Launceston Airport before transferring visitors directly to the Launceston CBD via a two-stop-service (Launceston General Hospital and the Launceston Regional Transit Centre).

Airport-bound services are set to run from 25–26 January, departing from Launceston and heading to Launceston Airport.

Fares will cost 22 AUD for a one-way trip, and 40 AUD for a return, with tickets available to book now.

Kinetic General Manager (Tasmania) Andrew Grzinic said:

This is the biggest concert Launceston has ever hosted, and we wanted to make sure fans have a reliable transport option to and from the airport.

We're proud to support this incredible event and help people get there and back home safely.

The Foo Fighters concert marks the band’s first performance in Tasmania since 2015, as well as their first show in the city of Launceston. It sold out in record time, and is expected to attract fans from across the country.
