Six months before Busworld Europe 2025 opens in Brussels, early announcements from exhibitors indicate that a diverse range of vehicles and components will be premiered at the exhibition.
Bus manufacturers and suppliers are set to introduce electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles, advanced drivetrains, and telematics systems.

New Vehicle Launches
MAN Truck & Bus
MAN Truck & Bus will present two key premieres at Busworld 2025.
The MAN eCoach will launch as its first fully electric touring coach, offering a range of up to 500 km and seating for over 50 passengers. This model integrates MAN’s eTruck battery packs and long-distance technology.
The manufacturer will also present the second generation of the MAN Lion’s City 12 E. This fully electric city bus is 500 kg lighter than its predecessor. It features an improved driveline, enhanced regenerative braking, and a range of up to 500 km. The model also includes a redesigned driver’s area and infotainment upgrades.
Solaris Bus & Coach
Solaris Bus & Coach will introduce the Urbino 12 Hydrogen 2.0, a second-generation hydrogen bus with a lighter frame, a more efficient fuel cell system, and an extended range of up to 700 km per fill.
VDL Bus & Coach
VDL Bus & Coach is set to launch a new generation of its Citea electric platform, focusing on increased battery efficiency, reduced weight, and a modular architecture for both city and regional operations.
Irizar e-mobility
Irizar e-mobility will showcase a redesigned ie tram, featuring improved accessibility, an upgraded interior and a rapid-charging system that reduces charging times by up to 30%.
BYD
BYD has announced the European debut of a new electric city bus incorporating solid-state battery technology, designed to enhance energy density and thermal stability.
VinFast
VinFast, a Vietnamese e-mobility brand, will exhibit for the first time at Busworld Europe. It will present a 12-metre electric city bus with a range of 300–350 km, developed in partnership with Pininfarina and Siemens.
The company aims to expand into five EU markets by 2026.
Alfabus
Alfabus, a Chinese manufacturer, will introduce two fully EU type-approved electric bus models (12m and 18m) designed specifically for the European market.
UNVI
Spanish manufacturer UNVI, will unveil the SIL Electric, a low-entry coach designed for regional services, seating up to 59 passengers and offering a range of 400 km.
Supplier Innovations
ZF will present the latest version of its integrated electric axle, which combines the motor, inverter and transmission into a single unit to facilitate installation and servicing.
Voith will expand its eDrive portfolio with a solution designed for electric long-distance coaches. It will also introduce new hydrogen components as part of its multi-energy strategy.
ACTIA Group will introduce an updated telematics suite for predictive maintenance, enabling operators to track fleet performance, diagnose faults, and schedule maintenance proactively.
