IVECO has revealed three new vehicles during a press conference at Busworld Europe.

The company revealed its brand-new Intercity Crossway Elec, eDaily Low Entry Elec Minibus and G-WAY Midibus during a press day at Brussels Expo.

At roughly 13 metres in length; IVECO’s new-generation Intercity Crossway LE Elec features a SIEMENS ELFA 3 electric motor, and offers a seating capacity of up to 50 passengers.

Charging for the bus is handled via a CCS Combo 2 system, with the internal power provided by a 416kWh battery pack.

The company also unveiled its new e-Daily Low Entry ELEC Minibus; a 7.6-metre-long, fully electric minibus with a range of over 270km. The vehicle offers seating for up to 27 passengers, and features an electric motor supplied by FPT.

The vehicle also comes equipped with an automatic wheelchair ramp, 15″ TV Monitor, a video surveillance system, passenger counter, Automatic Vehicle Management System (AVMS) and USB ports on each seat. Charging for the vehicle is handled by a AC Type 2 – DC CCS Combo 2 system, with internal power provided by a choice of two battery configurations – 111 kWh (3 packs) or 148 kWh (4 packs).

Finally, IVECO revealed its brand-new G-WAY CNG Midibus; which measures in at 9.5 metres in length and only 2.33 metres in width.

The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 16 passengers with one wheelchair space, and features a Tector 7 7 CNG EURO VI engine. The G-WAY is most narrow biomethane-compatible midibus on the market; and comes equipped with a driver’s door fridge, USB plugs for both passengers and the driver and full air-conditioning with roof heating.

IVECO’s press conference also touched on the company’s recent acquisition by TATA Motors, commenting on the capabilities of the two brands working as one unit moving forward and cementing its goal of net zero operation by 2040.
