MAN Truck & Bus is set to present its first fully electric coach at Busworld Europe in Brussels, following its initial announcement of the Lion’s Coach E in May.
The event marks the world premiere of the MAN Lion’s Coach 14 E, featuring a revised design and electric drive technology.
The Lion’s Coach 14 E is the first fully electric coach from a European manufacturer. It draws on technology from MAN’s series-produced eTruck and the NMC battery packs manufactured at the Nuremberg plant. The vehicle offers a usable energy capacity of 320 to 480 kWh and a range of up to 650 kilometres. Its design incorporates aerodynamic improvements while maintaining space for up to 63 passengers and luggage capacity comparable to the diesel version.

Barbaros Oktay, Head of Bus at MAN Truck & Bus said:With our eCoach, we are entering a new era of emission-free travel. With the electrification of our fleet, numerous innovations in equipment and technology, and modern services, we are consistently focusing on efficient, sustainable and digitalised transport.
At Busworld, the MAN stand in Hall 4 will also feature four additional vehicles from MAN and NEOPLAN, as well as technology highlights such as the MAN BatteryPack and digital service offerings.
The Lion’s City 12 E LE will be shown with a new battery generation using lithium-ion NMC technology. Production of the MAN BatteryPack is being scaled to 50,000 units per year, with improved energy density, safety systems and charging flexibility.
NEOPLAN will also present the Skyliner Auwärter Edition and the Tourliner C. The latter is equipped with the D2676 LOH engine, delivering 353 kW (480 hp) and a reported fuel saving of up to 2.5 per cent.

Meanwhile, the MAN TGE Coach minibus will be on display, featuring an ergonomic driver’s workplace with a digital cockpit and multifunction steering wheel.
