Siemens has officially launched its new SICHARGE FLEX solution, a next-generation electric vehicle (EV) charging system, at this year’s Busworld in Brussels.
The new system aims to be fully adaptable and has been designed with modularity, scalability and versatility in mind.

SICHARGE FLEX offers a range of power options, from 480 kW to over 1.68 megawatt, allowing charge points to deliver power in increments of 80/120 kW and enabling precision power to suit a range of different requirements.
The system delivers up to 1,500 A of charging current through its MCS dispenser, allowing for the rapid charging of larger EVs such as heavy-duty trucks and buses, as well as supporting up to 4 MCS charge points to be installed within any single system.
Markus Mildner, CEO eMobility, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, said:The introduction of SICHARGE FLEX marks a significant milestone in our journey to build a comprehensive and sustainable E-Mobility ecosystem.
This solution embodies our vision for a future where EV charging is not only fast and reliable, but also seamlessly integrated and highly efficient. SICHARGE FLEX empowers our customers to confidently scale their operations, optimize energy use, and contribute to a cleaner, more electrified world.
The SICHARGE FLEX system is capable of providing high-capacity charging (up to 656 kW/m2) and utilises a front-in front-out cooling system, allowing for wall placement.
