Solaris closed 2024 with record growth and continued the momentum into 2025, reporting a 20% revenue increase in the first half of the year compared with the same period in 2024. Of the 765 buses invoiced in the first half, more than 80% were zero-emission vehicles.

At the press conference, Agata Stańda, CEO of Solaris Bus & Coach noted that the company’s long-term vision is clear:

We want to see as many zero-emission buses on the streets of every country across the globe. And hopefully, those buses will be delivered by Solaris.

A key pillar of Solaris’ strategy is entering new markets, with particular emphasis on North America. The company has already secured a significant US breakthrough with a pilot project in Seattle, covering both 12-metre and 18-metre electric buses. These vehicles will be delivered between 2026 and 2027.

In Canada, Solaris won a tender in Vancouver for trolleybuses, securing 107 firm orders with options for up to 400 additional units. This represents the largest trolleybus contract in the company’s history and a pivotal moment in Solaris’ international growth.

To further support its market entry, Solaris will showcase its North America-specific demo bus at the APTA Conference in Chicago in October 2026.

Alongside the expansion news, Solaris unveiled the Urbino 10.5 Electric, a compact zero-emission bus that can achieve over 600 km on a single charge.
