The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) has contracted ENC to supply two diesel-electric hybrid AXESS 40-foot buses for shuttle services.
The vehicles will be procured through City View Bus Sales & Service Ltd, ENC’s authorised dealer in Canada. The AXESS platform has been in service for several decades and is used by transit operators in a range of operating environments.

John Obert, Interim Vice President of Sales at ENC said:The RCMP is one of the most respected law enforcement institutions in the world, and we're proud to support their operations with ENC’s proven AXESS platform. Our buses are among the safest in the industry, being one of the first heavy-duty bus platforms to have passed school bus rollover and side impact testing.
The buses will be fitted with a Gen3 diesel-electric hybrid powertrain supplied by BAE Systems. The system combines a conventional diesel engine with electric propulsion technology, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption and lowering nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide emissions compared with standard diesel vehicles.
The order represents a further step in ENC’s expansion into the Canadian market.
Joseph D'Urso, President of City View said:City View is proud to partner with ENC to deliver these vehicles to the RCMP. ENC builds some of the most durable buses on the market. Their hybrid technology and commitment to quality made ENC the clear choice for this contract. Combined with an ability to meet favorable delivery timelines, we're confident the RCMP is receiving best-in-class vehicles.
