Culver CityBus has launched a new, automated enforcement programme to keep shared bus & bike lanes, as well as bus stops, clear throughout the city.

The programme utilises technology developed by Hayden AI and will begin full enforcement on 19 May 2025.

With the implementation of the new programme, Culver CityBus aims to reduce delays and offer a more reliable service for passengers

Once operational, any vehicle found to be illegally parked in bus stops and bike and bus lanes will be subject to a fine delivered by mail.

Lisa Schule, Executive Chairwoman of Hayden AI, said:

Fast, reliable public transit is critical to the economic and social vitality of our cities.

By keeping bus and bike lanes clear, our technology helps reduce travel times, improve on-time performance, and enhance safety for all road users. We are proud to support Culver City in its commitment to creating a more efficient and accessible transportation network.

The technology’s implementation marks Hayden AI’s fourth programme to be enforced within California, with the company also previously providing automated programmes for New York City, Los Angeles, Oakland and Washington, DC.
