Daimler Buses will present several new vehicle models and services at this year’s Busworld Europe trade fair in Brussels, taking place from 4–9 October 2025.
Among the key exhibits will be the public debut of the fully electric Mercedes-Benz eIntouro intercity bus and the new NMC4 battery generation for the eCitaro.
The company will also highlight developments across the Setra product range and expanded digital and support services under its Omniplus and Omniplus Charge brands.

Daimler Buses will display eight vehicles from Mercedes-Benz and Setra inside Hall 5 (Stand 503), with three additional buses positioned outside for viewing and test drives.
Mercedes-Benz eIntouro
The eIntouro is Mercedes-Benz’s first battery-electric intercity bus in series production. Based on the diesel-powered Intouro platform, the eIntouro uses a central electric motor and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries to support a range of intercity, school, shuttle, and short-excursion applications. Two vehicle lengths are available: 12.18 metres and 13.09 metres (eIntouro M).

For the first time in a European bus, the eIntouro supports over-the-air software updates, enabling system updates without requiring a visit to the workshop.
NMC4 Battery for the eCitaro Range
Daimler Buses will also showcase the NMC4 battery, the latest battery generation to be used in the eCitaro city bus series beginning in 2026.

The NMC4 battery offers high energy density and is designed for extended service life. It supports both standard charging at up to 150 kW and rapid charging up to 300 kW. The battery will be installed in the full eCitaro range, including articulated and fuel cell variants.
An eCitaro fitted with NMC4 batteries will be on display during the event.
Setra Line-Up: MultiClass, ComfortClass, and TopClass
Setra will exhibit a cross-section of its intercity and touring coach offerings. Vehicles include:
- S 515 LE: Representing the MultiClass low-entry intercity segment
- S 515 HD: A high-decker coach from the ComfortClass range
- S 516 HDH: A super-high-decker model from the TopClass
- S 531 DT: A double-decker coach designed for high passenger capacity and a variety of operational uses
High-Voltage Battery Services
To support vehicle longevity and lifecycle cost efficiency, Daimler Buses is introducing battery reconditioning services for electric buses. From 2026, a replacement service will also become available, allowing customers to upgrade to the latest battery technology. These services are initially being offered for the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro.

The initiative is part of a broader e-service programme aimed at supporting operators throughout the operational life of their electric fleets.
Omniplus Charge
Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH will begin offering charging infrastructure services under the new Omniplus Charge brand later this year. This brand will operate alongside Omniplus On, Daimler Buses’ platform for digital vehicle services.
Omniplus Charge supports transport operators with consulting, infrastructure planning, and implementation, including:
- Feasibility assessments
- Charging station design and installation
- Battery storage integration
- Charging management systems
- Supporting construction and electrical works
Several projects have already been implemented or launched in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.
Omniplus On
Omniplus On will expand its digital services in 2025, with all new Daimler Buses vehicles eligible for a Digital Services Package—available for three years for diesel buses and six years for electric models.
New offerings include:
- Over-the-air updates for software and systems, debuting with the eIntouro
- Location Services Plus with speed-related geofencing, automatically limiting vehicle speed in designated zones
- Battery Monitoring tools for electric fleets, including recommendations for battery maintenance and real-time condition reporting
- Warranty Status checks for high-voltage batteries to help operators remain within warranty guidelines
Daimler Buses continues to extend both its physical service network and its range of digital support systems, reflecting ongoing investment in the transition to low-emission transport and data-driven fleet management.

A range of manufacturers are set to unveil new vehicles at Busworld 2025.
