Experience the Difference with Our Efficient Driveline – Increased Efficiency, Maximum Output
The driveline consists of a highperformance DAF engine, a ZF Traxon gearbox, which is standard in all models and a new rear axle. All contribute to a more efficient fuel consumption and less maintenance costs. With the MX-11 and MX-13 engines, service intervals are enlarged up to 100,000 km. There’s also the option to extend the oil service interval to 200,000 km, particularly for large numbers of kilometres driven per year. The fuel consumption can be optimised even more with the new Predictive Powertrain Control, which is standard for the new models.
Versatile in All Respects
The VDL Futura FMD2 offers a surprising number of options. It can be used for group travel, but also for intercity transport and on scheduled services. The floor height of 1,250 mm offers easy access and exit. The optional wide centre door can be fitted with a cassette lift to enable disabled passengers to enter and exit safely. For a vehicle in the multifunctional segment, the luggage space in the Futura FMD2 is exceptionally large. In short, a genuine all-rounder!

With a capacity of up to 96 passengers, this double-decker offers a comfortable and suitable transport solution for both the demanding holiday-maker and the intercity business traveller. Thanks to the special developed upper deck floor, made of lightweight sandwich material, the standing height on the lower deck is no less than 1.86metres. The driver’s enlarged field of view is innovative and created by the upper deck floor that runs at an upward angle towards the windscreen. This creates the impression of ample spaceand makes for an excellent overview.
