Divided into four contracts, the award includes a total of 69 scheduled buses, the majority of which will be electric. This contract will enable the continued growth of Nobin’a presence in the wider region.

With the expanded contract, Nobina hopes to strengthen its presence within Helsinki

Operations for three of the contracts will commence in August 2027, with a contract period of seven years and an option for a three-year extension, whilst the fourth contract, comprised of six vehicles, has a contract period of two years and an option of a two-year extension.

Topi Simola, Managing Director, Nobina Finland, said:

We are very proud of the trust placed in us by HSL. Together, we continue to develop a sustainable, reliable, and modern public transport system for the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Our joint efforts aim to strengthen the region’s attractiveness and the role of public transport in the green transition.
