Flix has published rankings for its most popular travel destinations in 2024, with passengers travelling most frequently to Paris, Lisbon and Ankara.
Paris, which hosted the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games claimed the spot as the number one international destination. This was followed by Lisbon, Ankara, Munich and Porto. Places like Lyon and Bursa, which are typically not viewed as tourist hotspots, also made to top 20. In Germnay, most passengers travelled to Berlin, followed by Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Cologne.

This data includes passengers travelling on the Europe-wide FlixBus coach network and the FlixTrain rail network, which operates in Germany.
The UEFA Euro Championship, held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July, saw a significant increase in travel demand. Fans travelled extensively to reach host cities, with some covering long distances, such as from Lisbon to Hamburg. Routes from the UK to Germany also recorded a noticeable increase in bookings during the tournament.
Notably, the longest FlixBus trip made in Europe was a multi-day journey covering 5,386 kilometres. A passenger travelling from Málaga, Spain, to Tallinn, Estonia, completed a four-day, three-night trip with stops in Lisbon, Paris, and Berlin. The longest direct connection booked was between Bucharest and Palermo, covering approximately 3,253 kilometres.
