A set of four new King Long electric buses have officially begun operations in Kenya.

Two buses have been delivered to ENABLED Sacco, with the remaining two set to expand the existing REMBO Classic fleet.

The first buses to be assembled entirely in Kenya, the vehicles mark a milestone in BasiGo’s #Roadto1000 journey, which aims to deploy 1,000 electric buses within Kenya by 2027.

The buses have now entered operation on REMBO Classic routes including Athi River, Kitengala, CBD and Upperhill; with the additional buses beginning service on ENABLED Socco routes including Utawala, Kitengala and the CBD.
