In France, the Urban Community of Dunkirk and the Grand Annecy Agglomeration have confirmed orders for hydrogen-powered H2 city buses from IVECO BUS.
Placed through France’s central public purchasing body UGAP, the orders comprise ten hydrogen buses for Dunkirk and three for Annecy. Deliveries will begin in the coming months and are scheduled to continue until 2026.

Each 12-metre H2 bus has capacity for up to 110 passengers. The vehicles will be integrated into networks that already include electric buses from the same manufacturer.
Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Europe Commercial Operations, said:We are extremely proud that the Urban Community of Dunkirk and Grand Annecy Agglomeration have renewed their trust by adopting our hydrogen buses. These new orders, via UGAP, highlight our ability to support our customers in their transition to zero emissions.
The IVECO BUS H2 model uses a hydrogen propulsion system that includes a 100 kW fuel cell developed by Hyundai and a 69 kWh battery pack from FPT Industrial. This combination is designed to reduce hydrogen consumption and support the longevity of critical components such as the battery and fuel cell.
The model is included in the UGAP catalogue, which allows public authorities to procure vehicles through an established national framework.
