Alexander Dennis Limited has secured an order from Go-Ahead London to deliver 32 Enviro100EV small electric buses.

The Enviro100EV buses will operate on Transport for London (TfL) services, designed specifically for navigating narrow streets and housing estates.

With compact dimensions of 8.5 meters in length and 2.35 meters in width, these manoeuvrable buses can accommodate up to 41 passengers, including 21 seated.

The buses will be stationed at Go-Ahead London’s Orpington Garage and will service local routes R1, R3, R4, R8, and route 233, which runs between Eltham and Swanley.

They will be equipped with the medium-duty version of the Voith Electrical Drive System and will feature 354 kWh batteries supplied by Impact Clean Power Technology. This setup allows for 1.2 GWh of warrantable energy throughput, ensuring long operational lifespans without the need for battery replacements.

Neil Gladstone, National Account Manager for Alexander Dennis said:

Our Enviro100EV is a great fit for the smallest size of single deck bus operated on behalf of Transport for London, offering a great passenger experience and features of Transport for London’s Bus Safety Standard and combining this with a driveline and batteries designed for longevity. We’re delighted that Go-Ahead London has chosen the Enviro100EV for its small bus requirements and look forward to delivering these vehicles in early 2025.

This order marks Alexander Dennis’ second order to supply its next-generation electric buses following an earlier order from Stagecoach.
