Tata Motors has announced it will deliver a further 148 electric buses to Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), building on an initial order of 921 vehicles.

The 12-year long supply, operation and maintenance of the set of Tata Starbus EV 12-metre low-floor electric buses will be handled by Tata Motors’ subsidiary, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Ltd.

Mr. Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, CEO and MD, TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, stated:

This additional order of 148 buses is a testament to the proven success of our Starbus EVs and the operational excellence delivered in Bengaluru’s urban environment. The Tata Starbus EV comes equipped with advanced battery systems and a slew of state-of-the-art sustainability features.
