Yutong has delivered 27 12PRO battery electric buses to the Punjab Transport Company (PTC).

Delivered to the operator during a launch event for Electric Vehicle (EV) bus services at the Lahore Expo Centre, Pakistan, the buses are the first of their kind to be supplied to the Punjab Province.

The event, officially named ‘Launch of EV Bus Service in Lahore, Punjab’, saw the attendance of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, alongside the Minister of Transport and Roads, officials from the Ministry of Housing & Works, and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Communications.

Each of the 27 E12PRO battery electric buses delivered were purchased in whole by PTC, a subsidiary of the Punjab Provincial Transport Authority, designating the company the as largest battery-electric bus operator in the region.
