InnoTrans 2024: What to Expect from the Bus Industry

With InnoTrans fast approaching from 24-27 September 2024, details are starting to emerge on which major players will be present from the bus industry and what participants should expect.

Taking place at Messe Berlin in the German capital, InnoTrans is an international trade fair focusing on transport technology, primarily for the rail industry.

However, the event also features a Bus Display and test track in the Summer Garden, where manufacturers will be showcasing their latest models in motion. Indeed, at the last edition in 2022, a number of new zero-emission vehicles were presented at the show.

The central Summer Garden location aims to bring together manufacturers, suppliers and buyers attending InnoTrans from the bus industry.

Alongside complete vehicles, exhibitors will present the latest in technology and charging infrastructure for alternative drive systems. Trade visitors will thus be able to witness the latest innovations, while also taking test drives on the 500-metre test track known as the Demonstration Course.

InnoTrans states that 2024 exhibitors at the Bus Display will include Daimler Buses, Van Hool, Jebsen & Jessen, K-Bus, Kiepe Electric, EBUSCO, Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, Ventura Systems, Automecanica Medias and BYD.

In addition to this exhibition area, as part of the InnoTrans Convention, the International Bus Forum will take place on 26 September. This discussion is organised by the German Transport Forum (DVF). It aims to provide a platform for industry representatives to exchange ideas and for attendees to hear first-hand information.
