During its participation at Euro Bus Expo, Irizar Group has confirmed its plans for future growth in the UK, including the development of a new headquarters near Blyth.

Irizar Group is presenting three of its latest-generation vehicles at the event: the Irizar i8, the new-generation Irizar i6S Efficient, and the Irizar ie tram electric vehicle.

All three vehicles are set to hit UK roads following the exhibition.

What’s more, Irizar UK is expanding operations to support growth, following a record-breaking year in 2024. The company has resumed development of a new headquarters near Blyth in north Nottinghamshire, a project initially delayed by Brexit uncertainties and the impacts of COVID-19.

With strong sales in 2023 and a record performance in 2024, along with robust orders through to 2026, Irizar UK is now proceeding with plans to establish a permanent facility to meet growing demand.

The planned 4-acre site will include a showroom, coach handover facilities, office space, and extensive parking for coaches. The company has submitted its planning application and begun the contractor selection process, aiming to open the new facility by Q4 2025.

Andrew Blundell, Managing Director of Irizar UK said:

We have reached a key transitional phase in the evolution of the business, and investing in our own premises will give us the capacity to further enhance our market position in the UK.

Given the post-Covid turbulence impacting bus & coach manufacturers, Customers should see this significant investment as not only a long-term commitment to our intentions for the UK market, but also a reflection on the stability of Irizar and its ability to weather challenges and remain focused on the longer term. We have confidence in the UK, and a commitment to deliver for our Customers.
