Irizar has received an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its 12-metre-long Irizar ie Efficient bus.
The declaration provides objective, transparent and third-party verified information about the environmental performance of a product throughout its lifecycle.
An internationally recognised document; the Type III environmental declaration is in accordance with the ISO 14025 standard.
Having received the certification, Irizar has stated that it has now strengthened its sustainability strategy, with development of its new line of Efficient vehicles now steadily underway.
First unveiled at Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels; the Irizar ie bus Efficient introduces a redesigned structural concept that reduces overall weight by around 1,000 kilograms. This increases passenger capacity by 5% compared to the previous generation.
