Karsan has announced the acquisition of a new tender to deliver 42 fully-electric e-ATAK units for the Campania region.
The contract, which was signed by Karsan Europe with the Campania Regional Administration Regione Campania, as well as the public transport administration ACAMIR, will bring the company’s Italian presence to a total of 300 vehicles.

Karsan CEO, Okan Baş, said:We are happy to win another tender as a 100% Turkish brand. With the delivery we plan to complete by the end of 2025, Karsan's electric vehicle park in Italy will reach 300 units. With the deliveries we will make in two batches, we will significantly increase our influence in the Campania region.
In this region, which includes a big city like Naples, we have previously delivered 8 units of e-ATAK. With the new deliveries, our vehicle park in the Campania Region will reach 50 vehicles.
Karsan’s e-ATAK units offer a passenger capacity of up to 52 people, measuring in at 8 metres in length and coming built with a low floor for travellers with wheelchairs or strollers.
The e-ATAKs also come equipped with a 230kW electric motor, allowing for journeys of up to 300km on a single charge, with recharge time ranging from three to ten hours.
In January, Karsan celebrated the delivery of its 250th electric vehicle within the country with the supply of 12 e-JEST electric bus units to Florence, marking its presence across 11 regions and 23 cities across Italy.
