Karsan is continuing its expansion in North America with the delivery of 14 e-JEST electric minibuses to Santa Maria, California.
Here, the e-JEST vehicles will be integrated into the microtransit service offered by Santa Maria Regional Transit (SMRT).
The microtransit service is designed to provide passengers with a modern mobility solution, featuring flexible, on-demand booking through a smartphone app.
The Karsan e-JESTs are equipped with smart technology and feature a compact design, making them ideal for navigating the city’s narrow streets.
These 20-foot vehicles launched in North America in 2022, making them the first electric minibuses on the market.
