Motor Coach Industries (MCI), a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., has opened a new service centre in Torrance, California, expanding its support for coach and bus operators across Southern California.

The 35,000-square-foot site, located at 20700 Denker Avenue, was officially launched with an open house and ribbon-cutting event on 1 May 2025. The new centre is equipped to provide a broad range of services for buses, including maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, as well as high-voltage system work and refurbishment.

Led by Service Center Manager Tony Molina, the Torrance facility includes 12 service bays, a high-voltage repair station with 60kW charging infrastructure, and body and paint capabilities. It is staffed by factory-trained technicians and supported by OEM diagnostic tools. The site also features amenities for drivers, including a lounge with Wi-Fi, refreshments, and seating.

Michael Donner, Director, MCI Service Centers said:

This new location expands our reach and enhances support for customers in one of the nation’s most active transportation corridors. With advanced capabilities and a strong local team, we’re delivering the expert service our customers rely on.

The centre services all NFI Group vehicle brands—including MCI, New Flyer, ARBOC, and Alexander Dennis—and operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It forms part of a wider network of seven MCI and New Flyer service centres across North America, providing support such as diagnostics, repairs, and parts supply through NFI Parts™. The site also offers in-field support and 24/7 roadside assistance.
