UK coach operator Megabus has announced a new ticketing partnership with National Express, allowing customers to book journeys on National Express services across England and Wales directly via the Megabus website.

The collaboration expands the range of destinations available to Megabus customers, who can now access tickets for over 350 National Express-operated routes.

The agreement follows last year’s significant reduction of Megabus services in England and Wales. The new arrangement is intended to maintain a wide range of affordable coach travel options through its platform.

Simone Walsh, Managing Director at Megabus, said:

This is really good news for our customers who once again have access to hundreds of services across England and Wales that can all be booked through the Megabus website.

Partnering with National Express in this way really puts passengers at the heart of both operations and we’re pleased to be able to offer this seamless booking option to our customers.

Earlier this year, Megabus relaunched its website with a number of new features, including ‘MyMegabus’—a section that allows users to amend or cancel bookings—and real-time coach tracking.

The partnership is expected to make it easier for passengers to plan journeys using a wider range of scheduled coach services.

National Express Commercial Director John Boughton said:

We’re excited to join forces with Megabus, offering customers greater choice and easier access to our extensive UK-wide network with a single booking. This integration provides more convenient travel options and strengthens our commitment to providing affordable, reliable, and comfortable journeys for everyone.
