The Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that seeks to explore a strategic collaboration for the production of zero-emission buses.

The two companies, via their respective subsidiaries Mitsubishi Fuso Bus Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (MFBM) and Foxtron Vehicle Technologies, will cooperate to develop, produce, supply and sell ZEV buses.

The two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The first units to be sold will be the Foxtron-developed MODEL T and MODEL U.

Each of the four companies will utilise the MOU as a starting point to investigate future business models that aim to strengthen the FUSO brand, as well as develop new, made-in-Japan buses.
