Warsaw’s public transport operator, MZA (Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe), has ordered an additional 79 electric buses from Solaris Bus & Coach

This extension follows a contract signed in September 2025, which originally included 79 vehicles. The new order comprises the same number of buses: 50 articulated Urbino 18 electric buses and 29 12-metre Urbino 12 electric buses.

The buses will match the specification of the previous batch, featuring a modular drive system without the traditional engine tower. The 12-metre models will be equipped with batteries exceeding 500 kWh, while the 18-metre buses will have batteries over 700 kWh. All vehicles will use plug-in charging. Deliveries are planned for the first half of 2027.

This latest order brings the total of electric buses supplied by Solaris to Warsaw to 241, including 163 already delivered. Several additional Urbino electric buses are currently in production for MZA under separate contracts.

The expansion is part of Warsaw’s ongoing effort to maintain and operate a fleet of zero-emission buses within the city’s public transport network.
