National Express and E. Stott & Sons Ltd have unveiled two new TEMSA HD13 coaches, which will enter service this weekend.
The vehicles are the first TEMSA models to operate on the National Express network, with a third expected to join the Stotts fleet in March 2026.

The first of the new coaches will depart Bradford at 07:05 on Saturday 25 October 2025, operating the National Express 561 service to London. The second will run on service 131 between Huddersfield and Birmingham.
Developed in partnership between Stotts, National Express and TEMSA, the twin-axle HD13s have been adapted to suit National Express and Stotts’ operational requirements. Each vehicle has 53 passenger seats and a permanent wheelchair space, providing accessibility in line with PSVAR standards.
Standing at 3.6 metres tall, 13.1 metres long and 2.5 metres wide, the coaches include 11 cubic metres of luggage capacity. They are powered by Euro 6 DAF 6-cylinder MX11 engines, producing 300 kW, and have a fuel capacity of up to 527 litres.
Onboard features include reclining seats, Wi-Fi and USB charging points. The coaches also incorporate National Express’ safety and security systems, including Lytx DriveCam technology.
The introduction marks a new collaboration between National Express and TEMSA. The partners will monitor the vehicles’ performance in areas such as fuel efficiency, driver experience and passenger comfort.
Ed Rickard, Network Director for National Express, said:As a valued long-time partner operator, it’s been a pleasure to work in partnership with Stotts to adapt these vehicles and ensure that we can deliver the best experience, which our customers have come to know and love when travelling with us.
It’s exciting to have the new TEMSA vehicles launching into service and we all look forward to seeing how they perform on our network.
Family-run E. Stott & Sons Ltd has been associated with National Express since 1993. The West Yorkshire operator began running scheduled National Express routes in 2010 and continues to be a key partner in the network’s operations.
Carl Stott, Director of Stotts Coaches, said:Stotts are delighted to have been involved in this project with the TEMSA HD13 vehicles and look forward to working alongside National Express to test the new product on the network.
We think they look great and can’t wait to launch them in service on our 131 and 561 routes between Yorkshire, Birmingham and London this weekend.
