Nedre Romerike Minibuss Chooses Saga Tenix as its IT Provider
Saga Tenix will deliver systems for fleet management and charging solutions for the minibuses used for special transport and on-demand services. The contract is valued at over NOK 2 million and will last for a minimum of five years.
Torbjørn G. Krøvel, CEO of Saga Tenix, said:We look forward to working with Nedre Romerike Minibuss to make these important services more efficient and environmentally friendly. Tenix’s technology will support their goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the use of electric buses in the region.
The project is part of Ruter’s contract for Øvre and Nedre Romerike and primarily involves transportation for schoolchildren entitled to special transportation, as well as on-demand transport services. The area has a significant need for minibuses for these types of services, and Tenix’s technology will help optimize both operations and environmentally friendly charging solutions for these vehicles.
Kristin Langbakke from Nedre Romerike Minibuss, said:We chose Tenix mainly because we wanted a supplier based in Norway. Proximity to the provider is important for ensuring quality. At the same time, we saw that the offerings and pricing, along with the smart solutions, fit our operations well. It was also important for us to choose a company familiar with Ruter’s requirements for digital services.
The first buses will begin using Tenix’s systems from August 1, 2025. The contract spans five years, with an option for a three-year extension.
