About three years ago, the Lantal Group acquired Lantal Textiles SA (formerly Gierlings Velpor SA) in Santo Tirso, Portugal. In the meantime, the production resources there were consecutively renewed, also to increase production capacities.
In late October, the process was completed and the new production facility festively inaugurated. Among others, the tour through the manufacturing hall was joined by Portuguese Minister of Economy Pedro Siza Vieira, Secretary of State João Correia Neves, and Santo Tirso’s Mayor Alberto Costa as well as important business partners and numerous personalities from Portugal’s political and economic circles. We were also delighted to welcome Swiss Ambassador André Regli and Swiss Consul Doris Kunz.
In short speeches, the Mayor and the Minister of Economy emphasized the significance and importance of the project for the region. We are proud of the new production facility – it will certainly make a decisive contribution to the continued success of the Lantal Group.
