A set of 25 new Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2G articulated buses have entered service in Budapest.
Eighteen of the new vehicles, all of which are now under the operation of ArrivaBus Kft, have entered service on lines 110 and 112, with the remaining buses serving lines 8E, 139 and 223E.

The fleet replaces Budapest’s ten-year-old Mercedes Conecto vehicles and offers enhanced interior space, a modern passenger information system, USB charging options and modern air conditioning and safety equipment.
Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) recently announced intentions to acquire more than 330 new diesel and electric buses by 2027, of which 145 both arrived and entered service in 2025.
