The New Flyer ZEBs are powered by overhead pantograph chargers, ensuring efficient charging and extended operational range.

Each bus is expected to save approximately 25,000 litres of fuel annually, contributing significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting Ottawa’s climate action goals.

Passengers will also notice upgrades in the new vehicles, including enhanced interior screens that provide more information during rides.

The addition of these buses underscores Ottawa’s commitment to transitioning to a fully electric public transport system, reducing environmental impact while delivering modern, efficient services to its residents.
