Representatives of both the City of Szczecin and Solaris Bus & Coach have signed an agreement for the purchase of 14 zero-emission buses intended for operation by the City’s public transport operator, Szczecińskie Przedsiębiorstwo Autobusowe “Klonowica” sp. z o.o.

In recent years, the city has purchased 16 Solaris electric buses

The order includes two different variations of Solaris’ Urbino electric models: four 12-metre Urbino 12 buses and ten Urbino 18 buses, all of which are equipped with modern features and high-level technology.

Both models of the electric vehicle come fitted with a central electric motor, as well as a set of Solaris’ proprietary High Energy batteries, which can be charged using either pantographs or plug-in chargers.

Further features of the Urbino buses include full-vehicle air conditioning, electric heating, Wi-Fi access and an onboard monitoring system capable of integration with the City’s Central Urban Transport Management System, as well as full support with Solaris’ eSConnect fleet management system.

When delivered, the City will be in possession of 30 Solaris electric buses in operation.
