Solaris Bus & Coach has signed a new contract with Tyskie Linie Trolejbusowe (TLT Tychy) for the delivery of 18 new Trollino 12 trolleybuses.

The units, which will join several dozen Solaris trolleybuses already in operation as part of TLT Tychy’s public transportation fleet, are set to be delivered in December 2026.

The new vehicles join TLT Tychy’s existing set of Solaris trolleybus units already in operation

Fully equipped with Solaris’ traditional trolleybus drive system; the Trollino 12 units will also be fitted with new traction batteries that will enable driving outside electrified areas with no catenary systems.

The buses will feature two charging modes, with one able to be utilised whilst travelling along a pre-determined trolleybus network area and another via a plug-in charging socket whilst stationary.
