Autolinee Toscane, part of the RATP DEV Italia Group, has selected Siemens eMobility to electrify its bus depots across Tuscany, Itlay.

This project spans the cities of Florence, Prato, and Lucca, and is integral to the rollout of the company’s zero-emission electric bus fleet.

Siemens is installing 73 SICHARGE UC charging points, offering charging capacities of 100 kW and 150 kW to ensure efficient operations across Autolinee Toscane’s network.

The infrastructure is supported by medium and low-voltage electrical distribution systems equipped with IoT-enabled switches, providing a reliable and transparent energy supply.

Additionally, Siemens’ DepotFinity software will optimise charging processes by integrating smart load management, vehicle battery pre-conditioning, and operational reporting. These features ensure that vehicles are charged efficiently, enhancing the reliability and performance of the fleet while reducing operational costs.

In a separate project, Siemens eMobility is also collaborating with IPLANET, a provider of energy transition solutions, to upgrade over 120 logistics sites with advanced EV charging infrastructure.

These sites will feature high-capacity chargers (300-400 kW) integrated with Point of Sale (POS) systems compliant with Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR).

This infrastructure will include facilities for heavy-duty EV charging, supporting the electrification of e-truck fleets.

Markus Mildner, CEO of Siemens eMobility said:

Projects like these underscore Siemens eMobility’s mission to integrate sustainable mobility into everyday life. By combining cutting-edge technology and strong partnerships, we’re helping to transform the transportation and logistics sectors for a more sustainable future.
