Škoda Group has signed a contract with the Jihlava City Transport Company (DPMJ) for the delivery of up to 20 12-metre Škoda 32Tr trolleybuses.
The contract, which is valued at 279 million CZK, includes six standard trolleybuses and nine partial trolleybuses, as well as an option for five additional units.

Delivery of the units is set to take place across three phases. The first phase will see three partial trolleybuses delivered in September 2026, with the production of 12 vehicles (six standard and six partial trolleybuses equipped with traction batteries) set for delivery within 14 months of the signing of the contract. The final phase will include the delivery of any optional trolleybuses.
Karel Majer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Electric in the Škoda Group, said:We are very pleased that the cooperation with the transport company and the city of Jihlava continues. The new trolleybuses will bring greater comfort and safety to the city for passengers and will also significantly support sustainable urban mobility.
The Škoda Group is among the leaders in the production of trolleybuses and we are pleased that we can use our experience in the modernisation of Jihlava's public transport.
The new trolleybuses from Škoda will provide an air-conditioned interior, USB sockets, information and check-in systems in both Czech and English and a camera system with a total of eight cameras to ensure safety.
Each unit will also be equipped with automatic passenger counting (APC) and advanced vehicle diagnostics, which will allow for real-time monitoring of operating parameters.
The partial units will be fitted with a traction battery touting a range of over 15km without a trolley.
As well as the vehicles, the contract includes the delivery of a set of diagnostic equipment consisting of hardware and software, with continuous updates planned throughout the life of the vehicles.
The project has been financed with funds from the Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI) of the Jihlava agglomeration, which will help pay for 12 vehicles, and with the help of the Integrated Regional Operational Program (IROP), Jihlava will pay for three vehicles.
The purchase of four optional units will be made possible by a subsidy from the TRANSGov Modernization Fund.
