Solaris Bus & Coach has been awarded a tender for the production of 120 articulated diesel buses by the Public Transport Authority (ZTM) in Warsaw.

The new vehicles will replace the current fleet in operation in Warsaw, with deliveries set to begin in the second half of 2026 and planned to continue throughout 2027.

The contract also includes the option to purchase an additional 100 articulated Solaris buses.

Offering 133 passenger spaces; the buses will be fully equipped with modern features including air conditioning and a comprehensive monitoring system, as well as photovoltaic panels installed on each vehicle roof.

The vehicles will also come fitted with a device known as an alcolock – which measures the presence of alcohol in exhaled air and prevents the engine from starting if the result is positive.
