Transdev Nederland has placed an order with Solaris for the delivery of 55 zero-emission battery-electric buses.

The contract includes both the shortest bus in Solaris’s portfolio – the Urbino 9 LE electric – and the longest, double-articulated vehicle – the Urbino 24 electric.

The new order consists of 42 Urbino 9 LE electric buses and 13 double-articulated Urbino 24 electric units

All vehicles are scheduled for delivery in summer 2026.

The order consists of a total of 42 Urbino 9 LE electric buses and 13 double-articulated Urbino 24 electric units, with all vehicles set to begin operation under the new Arnhem-Nijmegen-Foodvalley (ANF) in both Arnhem and Nijmegen, as well as the Foodvalley region, in the second half of 2026.

In order to accommodate each area’s individual needs; the Urbino 9 LE electric units will be put into operation with Solaris High Energy batteries in smaller towns, whilst the high-capacity 24-metre Urbino 24 electric models, equipped with High Energy batteries, will begin providing public transport services in the region’s busier corridors.

The fleet will be supported by eSConnect, Solaris’s fleet management and monitoring system.
