Irizar e-mobility has presented a set of four brand-new 12-metre-long 100% electric Irizar ie buses with both the Gijón City Council and Empresa Municipal de Transportes Urbanos de Gijón (EMTUSA).

The new vehicles will soon enter operation on the city’s line 10 service, consisting of the Pumarin-Hospital de Cabueñes route.

All new vehicles are 100% accessible and feature a double ramp, two reserved spaces for wheelchairs or prams and preferential seats for those with reduced mobility.

The vehicles incorporate the GSR2 ADAS standard that includes a number of additional cybersecurity measures to ensure total vehicle protection.

Iriziar recently announced the signing of several new contracts with a number of different public transport operators across Poland.
