Under Simkin’s leadership, Swiftly grew from a three-person startup into a category-defining transit data and operations platform, now used by more than 200 transit agencies in 10 countries to support billions of rider trips each year. He led the company through global expansion, countless product launches, including its next-generation CAD/AVL solution, and its strategic investments with Cove Hill Partners and JMI Equity. The company was also recognized by Inc. 5000, GovTech 100, Inc. Best Workplaces, and Fast Company’s Best Workplaces for Innovators under his leadership. Simkin will remain at Swiftly full-time, working closely with transit agency customers and prospects to scale the CAD/AVL solution, leading long-term strategy, and continuing to shape the company’s culture.

Jonny Simkin, Chief Strategy Officer at Swiftly, said:

Building Swiftly has been the privilege of my life. Over the past 12 years, my family has grown alongside this company, and I want to be more present for them. This change lets me do that while focusing on what I love most about Swiftly: working with our customers and building the products that are changing how agencies run their service. Will is the right person to lead us forward. He has scaled great software companies, he cares deeply about our mission, and he leads with integrity and humility. I’m not going anywhere, and I’m excited to keep working alongside our team and customers to reimagine how technology can improve public transit.

Meet New CEO Will Anderson

Anderson brings more than 20 years of experience leading and scaling technology businesses in government technology, risk management, and B2B SaaS, most recently as CEO and then President at Resolver, Inc., a Kroll Business. He has led organizations from founder-led and growth-stage companies to divisions of large public software companies, and has scaled businesses up to $100 million in revenue. Anderson serves on the Board of Directors of Docebo Inc. (NASDAQ: DCBO; TSX: DCBO), an AI-powered learning platform. He cares deeply about climate change and believes in Swiftly’s mission to support public transit.

Will Anderson, CEO at Swiftly, said:

Public transit is one of the most practical paths to a lower-carbon future and better-connected communities. What Jonny and the Swiftly team have built is remarkable. Agencies across the world rely on Swiftly every day to deliver more reliable service across billions of rider trips each year. The industry is ready for a new generation of operations technology, and Swiftly is uniquely positioned to lead it. I’m honored to join this team and grateful to Jonny for his trust and partnership.

Continuing to Drive Agency Outcomes

For Swiftly’s customers, the transition brings continuity. Agencies will keep working with the same account, support, and product teams. Under Anderson’s leadership, Swiftly will continue to expand its new AI-powered CAD/AVL solution and operational tools, as well as scale its global customer base, building on more than a decade of partnership with the transit industry.
