Karsan has delivered 17 of its 12-metre e-ATA electric buses to the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality.
The delivery of the vehicles forms part of a project carried out in collaboration with both the European Union and the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality under the IPA II program.

To celebrate the delivery; a ceremony was held at the MEŞOT Public Transportation Complex, which was attended by Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Vahap Seçer, along with EU Delegation to Turkey Cooperation Section Head Maria Luisa Wyganowski, Transportation Sector Manager Dr. Göktuğ Kara, officials from the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Karsan Domestic Sales Deputy General Manager Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu, After-Sales Services Director Kubilay Dinçer, Sales Manager Adem Ali Metin and Sales Manager Fırat Acar.

As a brand that single-handedly accounts for 84% of Turkey's electric bus exports to Europe, we are proud of this achievement; however, what makes us happiest is that we are also leading the transition to electric public transportation in our own country.
One of the largest bus models in Karsan’s electric portfolio; the e-ATA offers a battery capacity of 396 kWh with a charge time of approximately 2.5-3 hours and a range of up to 400 kilometres.
The vehicle is capable of carrying up to 70 passengers, and features a fully-low floor design.
