Alexander Dennis has announced the successful delivery of two Enviro400 buses to independent English operator Compass Travel of Worthing.
The two new buses are the first double-deckers to be acquired by the business in its 31-year history, joining a 92 vehicle fleet that currently consists of 90% Alexander Dennis buses – the majority of which are Enviro200 single-deckers.
Measuring in at 11.5 metres in length; the buses have been purchased to serve a contract with The Chichester College Group, as well as provide private hire, rail replacement and event services. They have been fitted to Alexander Dennis’s standard specification, with a radio/PA system, digital tachograph, and belted seats.
Each bus is capable of carrying 85 seated passengers, and stands painted in Compass Travel’s maroon-and-white livery.

A member of the ALBUM group of independent operators; Compass Travel runs a network covering a large portion of West and East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and Surrey. The company recently its 30th anniversary and has depots in Worthing, Lewes, Brighton and Dunsfold. It has invested extensively in Alexander Dennis buses over the last five years, most recently acquiring 11 new Enviro200 single-deckers in spring and summer 2025.
