For the third year in a row; Blackpool Transport has announced that it will be freezing the price of a number of tram and bus tickets as part of a wider review of its overall fare structure.
However, whilst the cost of an adult day ticket will remain at 6.60 GBP; increases will be soon on some fares from 1 March – the first rises since January 2025.

James Clough, Finance and Commercial Director, said:Due to rising operational costs, some fare rises are unavoidable, but we’ve developed a great range of ticket options that continue to deliver excellent value for money.
We’re also launching a simplified fare structure that will make it easier for customers to find the best value ticket for their journey, whether they are travelling by bus, tram or both.
The operator has also announced that whilst the 2.70 GBP inner-zone single bus ticket will be discontinued, the standard adult single ticket covering the entire network will remain at 3 GBP in line with the government’s fare cap.
Single tickets for under-16s will increase to 1.80 GBP, and other prices will rise on other fares for children and young people aged 16 to 19. Other changes set to be introduced in March include the rebranding of one-hour tickets allowing interchange between Blackpool Transport’s trams and buses.
Priced at 3.50 GBP, the new ‘Hopper’ ticket will also be available to under-16s for 2 GBP, and the family day saver ticket will remain at its current offer price of 10 GBP until Spring.
