Telford has officially begun its journey toward fleet electrification as its first electric bus trial has begun.

A two-week trial will see an Alexander Dennis Enviro100EV zero-emission midibus tested across select Travel Telford routes, offering seating for up to 45 passengers over a range of 356 miles.

The trial will evaluate the vehicle’s performance over the course of the two-week pilot, gathering feedback from drivers, passengers and operators.

If successful; the Council has stated intentions to purchase an electric bus within this financial year using funding from the UK Government’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP): Local Transport Authority Allocations.

  • Wednesday 12 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Thursday 13 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Friday 14 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Saturday 15 November – Route: 100
  • Sunday 16 November – Route: 100
  • Monday 17 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Tuesday 18 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Wednesday 19 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Thursday 20 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Friday 21 November – Routes: 99a, 99c
  • Saturday 22 November – Route: 101
  • Sunday 23 November – Route: 100
