Kitsap Transit has agreed the purchase of up to 15 buses from GILLIG for operation in Kitsap County, Washington State.

As part of the agreement, which is valued at around 18 million USD, GILLIG will deliver up to ten heavy-duty battery electric buses and up to five 30-foot clean diesel buses.

The order includes the delivery of up to 15 different buses

The buses are set to replace 15 older diesel buses currently in operation in Kitsap County, Washington.

Delivery of the diesel buses is set to be completed within the next 8 to 14 months, with the electric buses anticipated to be delivered between the next 18 to 24 months.

GILLIG’s low-floor battery electric buses come equipped with an integrated HVAC and battery thermal management system, as well as a curb-side plug-in DC charging port as standard.
