VIA Metropolitan Transit has announced the reopening of its renovated Randolph Transit Center in Northeast San Antonio.

One of the operator’s oldest transit hubs; the newly modernised Transit Center now boasts a redesigned 4,200-square-foot building complete with an indoor, air-conditioned waiting area, restrooms, free Wif-Fi and a customer information centre.

Travellers can also take advantage of new next-bus information screens both indoors and outdoors, as well as a number of modern amenities including a phone-charging counter and charging ports built into seating.

New covered waiting areas outside provide passengers with seating, upgraded bus bays and bike lockers.

Serving seven routes including the 8 North St. Mary’s, 17 IH-35 Express, and 214 Austin Hwy/Randolph Lineup; the centre will once again function as a key transfer point for the VIA Link Randolph Zone, as well as a pickup/drop-off site for VIAtrans customers.
