As we celebrate two centuries of creating transport textiles, we’re taking a look back at our rich heritage and the journey that has brought us to where we are today.

In the first part of our story, we spoke with Michael Holdsworth. The sixth generation of the Holdsworth family, Michael describes how his ancestor founded a woollen spinning mill in the North of England which grew to become a global fabric manufacturer, creating textiles for such iconic transport routes as London Underground and the Orient Express.
